What should I wear?
How much walking is involved?
Moderate walking is required — typically 2–4 miles per day, sometimes over uneven terrain at archaeological sites. In Athens, expect stairs and cobblestone streets.
Is this trip suitable for everyone?
Yes. It is designed for adults of all ages. Travelers should be comfortable with walking short distances, stairs, and standing during on-site teaching.
Do I need to prepare physically?
This tour is rated moderate. Most travelers with average fitness will do well, especially if they are comfortable with stairs and walking on uneven ground.
What kind of hotels will we stay in?
We use First Class (4-star) hotels, chosen for comfort and location near major sites. All hotels include private baths and modern amenities.
Are meals included?
Yes. Breakfast and dinner daily are included at the hotels. Lunches are generally on your own, allowing you to enjoy Greek specialties such as gyros, souvlaki, moussaka, and fresh seafood.
Where does the tour begin and end?
Most programs begin in Thessaloniki (northern Greece) and end in Athens, though itineraries may vary depending on flight schedules. Group airport transfers are included if you arrive and depart with the main group flights.
Do I need a visa?
For U.S. and most European travelers, a visa is not required for stays under 90 days. Greece is part of the Schengen Zone.
Is it safe to travel in Greece?
Yes. Greece is one of Europe’s most popular destinations. As with any international travel, normal precautions are advised, especially in crowded tourist areas.
How is this trip faith-based?
Our journey traces the footsteps of Paul, reading Acts and the Epistles on location. Each day includes teaching, devotionals, and reflection time to connect the biblical text with your own walk of faith.
Will there be worship opportunities?
Yes. We often hold devotionals on-site (such as at Philippi’s baptismal site, Mars Hill in Athens, or Corinth). Group worship and prayer times are also built into the program.
Are cultural experiences included?
Yes — highlights may include a Greek taverna dinner with live music, visiting Meteora’s cliffside monasteries, and exploring traditional markets.
What is the single supplement?
The single supplement is $900-$1,000 for a private room (limited availability). We can attempt to match roommates, but if no match is found, the supplement applies.
How much spending money should I bring?
Plan for €20–40/day for lunches, snacks, and souvenirs. Credit cards are widely accepted, but small cash (euros) is helpful in smaller towns.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes — travel insurance is highly recommended. It provides protection for cancellations, medical needs, or unexpected disruptions.
What about electricity and adapters?
Greece uses 220V, Type C and F outlets. Bring an adapter (and a converter if your device isn’t dual-voltage).
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes. Most hotels and many cafes offer Wi-Fi.
Can I drink the water?
Tap water is safe in most cities, but bottled water is recommended in rural areas.
What airline will we use?
Flights are booked with regularly scheduled international carriers. Often, itineraries use hubs like Lufthansa, Delta, or Aegean Airlines.
How long is the flight?
From the U.S. East Coast, flights to Athens take 9–11 hours (nonstop or with one connection). Thessaloniki adds about 1 hour more with a domestic connection.
Will the itinerary be exactly as advertised?
We make every effort to follow the program as planned. However, schedules in Greece may be affected by flight delays, weather, or local conditions. If adjustments are needed, we’ll provide the closest possible equivalent experience. Your safety, comfort, and overall spiritual journey always guide our decisions.
