What sites will we visit?

Our itinerary includes the Seven Churches of Revelation (Ephesus, Smyrna/Izmir, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea) as well as other highlights such as Pamukkale (Hierapolis), Cappadocia (optional), Troy, and Istanbul. Each site is paired with devotional teaching and historical insight.

What should I wear?

How much walking is involved?

Moderate walking is required, often on uneven stone or archaeological ruins. Expect 2–4 miles of walking per day, with breaks and teaching stops built in.

Is this trip suitable for everyone?

Yes. It is designed for adults of all ages. However, travelers should be comfortable with stairs, cobblestones, and walking through ancient ruins.

Do I need to prepare physically?

The tour is rated Easy. Walking on archaeological sites requires balance and stamina. Some travelers choose to use a walking stick.

What kind of hotels will we stay in?

We use First Class (4-star) hotels, with modern amenities and private baths. In Pamukkale and Cappadocia, unique spa or cave-style hotels may be included depending on itinerary.

Are meals included?

Yes. Breakfast and dinner daily are included at the hotels. Lunches are generally on your own, giving you the opportunity to try Turkish cuisine.

Where does the tour begin and end?

Most programs begin in Istanbul and end in either Istanbul or Izmir depending on the route. Group transfers are included if you arrive and depart with the main group flights.

Do I need a visa for Turkey?

Yes. U.S. citizens and many others must obtain an e-visa before arrival (simple online process). We’ll provide instructions.

Is it safe to travel to Turkey?

Yes. Turkey is a popular travel destination. We avoid areas under government advisory and work with trusted local partners to ensure safety.

How is this trip faith-based?

Each day includes devotional teaching tied to the churches in Revelation and the missionary journeys of Paul. You’ll open Scripture on location, connecting the early church’s story to your own walk of faith.

Are cultural experiences included?

Yes — beyond biblical sites, you’ll experience Turkish markets, cuisine, and traditional arts. Depending on itinerary, you may visit a carpet-weaving center, take a Bosphorus cruise in Istanbul, or soak in Pamukkale’s hot springs.

What is the single supplement?

The single supplement is generally between $800-$1,000 for a private room (limited availability). We can attempt to match roommates, but if no match is found, the supplement applies.

How much spending money should I bring?

Plan for $20–30/day for lunches, drinks, and souvenirs. The Turkish lira is the local currency, but credit cards are widely accepted.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes — travel insurance is highly recommended. It provides protection for cancellations, medical needs, or unexpected disruptions.

What about electricity and adapters?

Turkey uses 220V, Type C and F outlets. Bring an adapter (and a converter if your device isn’t dual-voltage).

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes. Most hotels have Wi-Fi, and many cafes and public areas offer access.

Can I drink the water?

Tap water is safe for hygiene, but bottled water is recommended for drinking.

What airline will we use?

Flights are booked with regularly scheduled international carriers, often including Turkish Airlines, one of the top-rated carriers in the world. Economy class is included; business class upgrades may be available at additional cost.

How long is the flight??

From the U.S. East Coast, nonstop flights to Istanbul take 9–11 hours.

Will the itinerary be exactly as advertised?

We make every effort to follow the program as planned. However, schedules in Turkey can be affected by flight delays, local conditions, or site closures. If adjustments are needed, we’ll provide the closest possible equivalent experience. Your safety, comfort, and overall spiritual experience always guide our decisions.
